Akkodis is seeking Sr. Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer for a Temp to Hire position with a client located in San Diego, CA (Hybrid).
Pay Range: $60- $70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Senior Data Fabric Engineer will be responsible for:
- Leading the design and development of advanced analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Architecting and managing Azure Data Factory pipelines to streamline data processing and integration.
- Developing complex Python scripts to automate data processes and enhance analytical capabilities.
- Spearheading the creation and maintenance of Fabric Lakehouse’s, ensuring they meet the future analytics needs of .
- Conducting thorough data analysis to inform strategic decision-making and support business objectives.
- Collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to define BI requirements and deliver comprehensive BI solutions.
- Mentoring junior developers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
- Ensuring compliance with data governance and security policies throughout all DNA Team initiatives.
- Providing expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex data and analytics issues and challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Moving SQL data to Lakehouse ERP systems.
- Working on setting up environments and ETL processes.
- Data modeling (Kimball methodology, fact tables, and dimensions).
- Integrating data and working with tools like Data Factory and Power BI.
- Experience in backend work with Power BI is highly preferred.
Technical Skills Required
Programming:
- Python: Required for data supplementation and integration.
- Spark SQL & PySpark: Needed for data processing and transformation.
- T-SQL: Good to have for SQL server/ERP background.
Data Skills:
- Data Warehousing: Familiarity with Kimball methodology.
- Data Modeling: Experience with fact tables, dimensions, and working with Power BI.
- Data Integration: Familiarity with Data Factory and data integration workflows.
Preferred Exposure:
- Fabric (preferably Fabric Lakehouse).
- Power BI: Critical for this role.
